Privacy policy
This website collects very little. This page explains what, why, and what you can ask us to do with it.
Who we are
This website is run by Margin Theory ("we"). We are the controller of personal information collected here. Contact us at hello@margintheory.net.
What we collect
- Email. When you email us we receive your name, email address and whatever you choose to write. We use this only to reply and to discuss any work you ask about. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries, or steps you've asked us to take before entering a contract.
- Visit statistics. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts page views without cookies, without tracking you across sites, and without storing your IP address for analytics.
We don't use advertising, tracking cookies or social media pixels, so there is no cookie banner.
Who processes it for us
- Cloudflare, Inc. hosts this website and provides visitor statistics.
- Google LLC hosts our email (Google Workspace).
- Bunny.net serves the website's fonts without logging visitors.
Some of these providers process data outside the UK and EEA. Where they do, they rely on recognised safeguards such as standard contractual clauses or adequacy decisions.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that don't lead to work are deleted within 24 months. If you become a client, we keep correspondence for as long as needed for the engagement and our legal and accounting obligations.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of your information, to correct it, to delete it, or to stop using it. Email hello@margintheory.net and we'll respond within one month. You also have the right to complain to the data protection authority where you live.
